BJP'z World of Music - It's a Funk and Soul Party

BJ Pendleton’s love of music shows itself in many ways. As a musician and audio engineer with over 30 years of experience, he has learned to remove personal preferences and let the writing process be free in the hopes of creating a deeper affinity with the music. When asked what drives him, he will answer: “The music means so much to me. It’s all about finding a personal connection to the music. It's pretty much that simple.”  This is clear and undeniably evident in his stage presence and rapport with the crowd. 

Coupled with his diverse musical influences, BJ’s music will show up in all shapes and sizes and simply can’t be classified into any specific genre. From funk, to soul, to hip hop beat making, he is intentionally creating music that is eclectic and sonically all-encompassing - “…whatever's flowing that day is what's showing in the music.” 

Perpetually planning and working on new projects while collaborating with some of your favorite local musicians, BJ Pendleton is eager to put on a concert for everyone. You never know who is going to show up on stage, so this is your invitation to come join us and get a glimpse at the many directions the music can go at “BJP’z Funk & Soul Party” at Friday’s After Five on July 7th.
